The Intellectual Disability Foundation of St George (IDF), provides Supported Employment to people with a disability in the St George and surrounding areas.

What you will learn to do

Work experience information

Ascalon Enterprises Kogarah and Bayside Garden Centre (a partnership with Bayside Council) is an Australian Disability Enterprise, based in the St George area.

Ascalon Enterprise Kogarah and Bayside Garden Centre conduct Work Experience Programs, assisting school students and individuals to prepare for employment, in a safe and friendly environment.

Note: All work experience candidates wishing to attend work experience at Bayside Garden Centre must do a test before approval will be given for work experience. 

We will assist with

  • On the job training and support

  • Personal development in a safe work environment

  • Developing social and interaction skills

  • Developing  independence

  • Build confidence and increase your self-esteem

  • Establish links to Open Employment providers

What you will need at the Nursery

  • Steel  capped shoes

  • Broad brim hat

  • Long sleeved shirt

You will be given sunscreen and gloves to wear
