The below breaks down the 4 terms of this certificate. We blend essential life skills like budgeting and simple cooking with job-specific training like work placements. By combining these skills, we set our students up for success in day-to-day life and in developing a fulfilling career.

Term 1

Orientation, skills, communication

Term 3

Job readiness and career planning

Advanced budgeting, career discovery, resume writing, mock interviews.

Term 2

Problem solving, teamwork, wellness

Work integration & entrepreneurship

Work placements, customer service role-plays, pop-up stall projects, events.

What You Can Do with a Certificate III in Retail

Completing a Certificate III in Retail equips you with practical, job-ready skills that employers are actively looking for. You’ll develop confidence in customer service, sales techniques, visual merchandising, stock control, point-of-sale systems, teamwork, and workplace safety — all essential for a thriving retail career. This qualification can lead to roles such as:

  • Retail Sales Assistant: assisting customers, processing transactions, and maintaining store presentation.

  • Customer Service Representative: handling enquiries, resolving issues, and creating positive shopping experiences.

  • Visual Merchandising Assistant: setting up displays, organising products, and ensuring the store looks inviting and on-brand.

  • Stock Control Assistant: receiving deliveries, managing inventory, and keeping shelves fully stocked.
