School Leaver Employment Support Program

Employment Support for School Leavers with Intellectual Disabilities

We are proud to offer a supportive and engaging environment where your child's future is filled with opportunity. Our SLES program provides a wide range of employment and learning experiences through our in-house businesses, all tailored to your child's individual strengths and interests.

We understand that choosing the right path for your child is important, and that's why our programs are built with flexibility and understanding at their core. Each participant is offered personalised work experience and support, ensuring they can develop at their own pace. Our dedicated team will guide your child every step of the way to help them grown in confidence and succeed on their chosen path.

Our program offers a nurturing environment to explore creativity while learning wellness product manufacturing, from scent creation to packaging. It's an ideal setting to gain hands-on experience in design, quality control, and eCommerce, equipping students with transferrable skills.

What They Can Learn in our School Leaver Employment Support Program

Food Preparation and Handling

Our Certificate III in Hospitality course will teach your child everything they need to know about food and beverage prep, safety, and service. They can then put those skills to the test in our canteen or at Knight & Georgie.

Customer Service

Our Certificates III in Retail and Hospitality are a great way to build customer service skills to work in stores, cafes, and restaurants. Your child will also work and have fun with other kids with intellectual disabilities, refining their social skills.

Design and Presentation

Employment at Specially Made, IDF Print, and Hamper Co offer the opportunity to design beautiful products and packaging. They will also learn how to present them on retail shelves and in giftboxes to impress customers.

All Things Gardening

Patience, care, and persistence are all gardening essentials. Your child will learn to plant, grow, and care for all sorts of plants, from succulents to tomatoes. Retail skills, safe handling, and deliveries are also on the menu!

Introduction to the Digital Work World

Video editing, building an audience, and managing ecommerce stock are just some of the skills your child could learn at Game On and our ecommerce brands. As work gets more digital, these skills are becoming crucial for success.

Organisation and Leadership

Every one of our companies offers the chance to lead small teams, with Game On also having a path toward event management. Your child can build on their interpersonal, leadership, and organisation skills.
