Join us for an outing to IKEA Tempe, an NDIS-funded community participation activity for people with intellectual disability. This engaging experience gives participants the opportunity to explore one of Australia's most popular home furnishing stores while developing valuable everyday life skills in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment.
Participants will browse a wide range of displays, discover homewares and furniture, enjoy a meal or snack at the IKEA restaurant and practise making choices, handling money and navigating a large public space. The outing also encourages communication, problem-solving and confidence while promoting greater independence through real-world experiences. Spending time together in the community provides meaningful opportunities to build friendships and strengthen social connections.
Our NDIS-funded outings are designed to support community participation, life skills development and increased independence through enjoyable and practical experiences.
