Join us for a Metro trip to Castle Hill and a visit to the shopping centre, an NDIS-funded community participation activity for people with intellectual disability. This enjoyable outing gives participants the opportunity to travel on public transport, explore the shopping centre and build valuable everyday life skills in a safe and supportive environment.
Participants will practice using the Metro, navigating stations, following travel schedules and travelling confidently within the community. At the shopping centre, they will have the opportunity to browse stores, purchase items, order food or drinks and develop money-handling and decision-making skills. The outing also encourages communication, social interaction and greater independence while enjoying time with friends.
