Join us at our Arncliffe Hub for Skill Building: Emotional Regulation Strategies, a supportive and interactive session designed especially for people with intellectual disability and neurodivergence.
This engaging workshop focuses on helping participants understand emotions, recognise personal triggers, and learn practical strategies to manage feelings in healthy and constructive ways. Through guided discussions, visual supports, role-playing activities and simple mindfulness exercises, participants will explore tools such as deep breathing, grounding techniques, identifying emotions, and using positive coping strategies.
Building emotional regulation skills is an important step toward greater independence and confidence. Participants will practise expressing their feelings appropriately, problem-solving in challenging situations, and developing self-awareness. These skills support stronger relationships, improved communication and increased resilience in everyday life.
